DUBAI — Fireworks Festival, slated to be the most attractive visual treat for visitors during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2008, will witness a grand start on January 24.
To be organised on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for the whole period of DSF till February 24, the Fireworks Festival will unveil some of the most advanced pyrotechnics used in the region yet.
The display is being organised by the Al Zarooni Group, one of the leading business houses in the GCC.
The highlight of the fireworks display will be based beside Al Seef Street at the Dubai Creek where a floating barge will launch around 300 fireworks per minute, compared to the normal 100.
The show will begin at 8pm. Visitors on either side of the Creek will be able to watch a spectacular display of colour, light, and sound.
Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahli, DSF Events coordinator said, “Fireworks have always been a hallmark of every DSF edition and the Fireworks Festival this year takes the display to a new dimension. While employing sophisticated technology in ensuring a safe yet colourful spectacle, visitors will watch the most advanced pyrotechnics used in the region yet, in line with DSF’s commitment of offering the finest to its guests.”
The floating barge and the tug-boat will be decorated with different themes to add to the colourful setting.
The display this year is slated to be bigger, better, and of longer duration. |
